OCP Viscosity Index Improver is a solid,highly stable pellet form olefin co-polymer(OCP) used as a viscosity index improver(VII) and viscosity modifier/thickener in high-quality automotive crank case lubricants.
Its excellent temperature properties ans shear stability make it suitable for a wide range of demanding applications. This VII is in pellet (granule) form and present high oil solubility in different base stocks and excellent viscosity effectiveness.
Polymer should be dissolved under high agitation in oil at 100 °C-120 °C for 6-12 hours until all solids have been dissolved.
Treat rates of 4-12 % will be required depending upon viscosity grade required and base oil used. Used with suitable PPD.
Wear suitable Dust mask and gloves when handling polymers. Avoid storing pellet type polymer > 30 °C for Prolonged periods. Avoid direct sunlight.
